Tasting Notes:

Interestingly, this was matured in a Bourbon hogshead that previously held whisky from a 'secret' distillery located on an island off Scotland's north west coast. Relatively light and floral on the nose with oak shavings, dried grass and semi-ripe pear aromas, building with hints of ovaltine and oat biscuits. A crisp, vivacious Craigellachie with a creamy middle and spikes of cut grass and pepper heat through the finish. Already nicely balanced, with water this really lands on its feet. The spices are tamed and there's more sweet malt fruitiness, as well as better length.
